1. Use of YouTube API Services

mainetic uses YouTube API Services to provide video-related functionality. By using mainetic, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy .

2. Information We Collect

• Apple ID
• Fitness profile details (e.g., goals, physical stats, equipment, preferences)
• Recent chat interactions with the AI assistant

We also retrieve real-time public data from the YouTube API (such as video titles and statistics).

Location Data

When you record an exercise, mainetic may collect your approximate location (latitude and longitude) and, when available, the detected gym or venue name and its associated URL from Apple Maps.

• Location data is collected only when you actively record an exercise and only if you grant location permission.
• Location is used to associate workouts with training venues and to improve workout history, training insights, and context-aware workout suggestions.
• mainetic does not track your location in the background and does not use location data for advertising or marketing.

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. The app will continue to function, but location-based features may be limited.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Identify and authenticate users
• Deliver personalized fitness assistance and recommendations
• Provide context-aware AI responses based on recent conversations
• Communicate updates or important notifications
• Improve app features and user experience

We do not sell your personal data. Your information is only shared when required to operate core app functionality or when you explicitly choose to share it, such as when connecting with a coach.

3.1. Coach Connections

mainetic allows you to optionally connect your account with a real coach you already train with.

• When you connect a coach, that coach can view your training and nutrition logs.
• This connection is initiated by you and requires your explicit consent.
• Coaches do not receive access to your Apple ID, login credentials, or private messages.
• mainetic does not provide coaches and does not match users with coaches.

You can remove a coach connection at any time from your profile. Once removed, the coach will no longer have access to your data.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

mainetic does not use cookies, third-party trackers, or advertising technologies. The app does not track users across apps or websites.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

6. Data Retention

We retain your Apple ID, fitness profile information, training and nutrition logs, location data (when enabled), and recent conversation history only for as long as necessary to operate the application, provide requested features (such as coach connections), or as required by law.
